Today my body has finally given into the last month’s antics. January has been full of long nights out and endless days away with friends. My body is catching up with me and telling me I need rest and recovery. That, and I’m ill.

What am I doing about it? In the past, I wouldn’t have listened to my body. I would’ve pushed on, ignoring the signs of becoming ill and needing rest. Now, I am allowing myself rest whilst I am ill. I listen to my body and I encourage you to do the same.

This coming week, I will allow myself to rest further if needed, but also pay attention to my priorities: work and productivity. Self-discipline is something that I lack, and although I preach about self-care, I also want to focus on succeeding in whatever I do.

Word of the week: REST

3 things that made me HAPPY this past week:

  • Spending time with friends
  • Allowing myself to rest
  • The realisation that I am successful, and will continue to be successful :)

INTENTIONS for this week: FOCUS ON WORK, LISTEN TO MY BODY, FIGURE OUT EXACTLY WHAT I WANT AND HOW I WILL GET THERE

ADVICE FOR YOU:

  • Focus on just being yourself
  • Learn what you want (what you truly want)
  • Do things for you and no one else
  • Discover the beauty of independence and self-discipline
  • Listen to your body
