Hey guys! I am starting a new weekly thread on Sundays, “Journal Entries”. In these posts, I’ll be laying out my thoughts on what’s been happening in my life over the past week and giving you guys some motivation for the coming week! I hope these posts help you in anyway it can, but also give you some prompts to start a journal of your own.

Let’s get into Journal Entry #1!

Today I feel unmotivated, drained and pretty much rubbish. I’ve had a busy week socialising and I believe it’s zapped all my energy. So, I am being gentle with myself. I am writing this journal entry today to help others if you are feeling pretty sluggish and overwhelmed today.

Another thing to mention is that since I’ve been away all week, I’ve not been able to get in my daily exercise. I freaked out about this a little, to be honest. And today, when I finally can do exercise and get back into routine, I feel so unmotivated to do so. This happens a lot when I go away and come back, and then the day I can get back into routine, I find it hard to. I just tell myself to allow my body rest. If I’ve been super busy mentally (by socialising), I can allow myself to have a me day and rest and recover for a busy week ahead.

Word of the past week: SOCIAL

3 things that made me HAPPY the past week:

  1. Spending time with my sister and her friends
  2. Not allowing ED thoughts to consume me when all I’ve done is laze around all week (super proud of myself for this one!)
  3. Allowing myself much needed rest this weekend

INTENTIONS for this week: BE PRESENT IN THE MOMENT, LISTEN TO MY BODY AND ALLOW REST, PRIORITISE SELF LOVE.

ADVICE FOR YOU:

  • Don’t be so hard on yourself
  • Give yourself that rest!!
  • Routines can be overrated
  • Spend as much time as you can with your friends and loved ones
  • Self-care comes above anything, especially fitness
  • Productivity doesn’t always need to have a deadline
