Today’s post is a short one, but important. I know a lot of people don’t enjoy reading self-help books, but I’m here to tell you that they really do help.

They are books that you can come back to whenever you feel the need. You don’t need to read it page by page, rather you can flip between chapters to find the ones that most resonate with you.

Here are my top 8 books with links:

The Mountain is You

By Brianna Wiest

A book all about self-sabotage and learning how to put in the work to become the best version of yourself.

Healing is the New High

By Vex King

This book is more on the spiritual side of self-discovery, but it is still a good read. It talks you through how to deal with your trauma, and ultimately how trauma makes you a stronger person.

100 Essays That Will Change the Way You Think

By Brianna Wiest

This is my FAVOURITE book of all time. There are 100 short essays all on self-love, focusing on things like how to become your best self, things to let go of and more.

Atomic Habits

By James Clear

This book has been talked about a lot over the last year. It’s all about the good and bad habits in your life, and how to build habits for the better. I will be talking more about habit building, and thus this book, later in the week.

Good Vibes, Good Life: The Key to Unlocking Your Greatness

By Vex King

Another one by King, this book is another great one if you want to focus on flourishing and becoming your best self.

You Do You

By Sarah Knight

Sarah Knight tears apart the conventional rulebook, guiding you to realise your aspirations and dreams across various aspects of life, from career and finances to relationships, family, lifestyle, and health.

The Power of Letting Go

By John Purkiss

This book explores the transformative potential of releasing attachments and surrendering control, emphasizing that true power often comes from relinquishing the need to control every aspect of life.

Make Your Bed

By William H. McRaven

This book offers life lessons drawn from Navy SEAL training, emphasising the significance of small, disciplined actions, such as making your bed, in building resilience, discipline, and success.

Please let me know if you read any of these books or have any other recommendations to add to the list!
